This course delivered by CartoGIS Services introduces the basics of map-creation with ArcGIS Pro software. Delivered online and run over six modules, students will have eight weeks from the time of enrollment to complete the course.

Upon completing this course, students will be able to: 1. Open, load and navigate ArcGIS Pro software 2. Produce a simple map using ArcGIS Pro software 3. Find further resources that they can use to support map-making in their research 4. Add data to ArcGIS Pro 5. Select classification systems appropriate to their data 6. With guidance, select a spatial reference system that is appropriate for their analysis
Aim of the course: - To support researchers in producing maps for their research - To help researchers feel confident in producing simple GIS-based maps with assistance and other resources. Academics and PhD students who complete our course will have the confidence and skills to begin preparing (simple) study site maps which they can use in their research. |
