Introduction to land cover mapping with Landsat (Half-day workshop)
Have you ever wanted to be able to map vegetation, buildings, or land cover in your study site?
In this hands-on workshop you will use ArcGIS to create a land cover map from freely available remotely-sensed imagery. You will learn techniques for identifying land cover types from aerial imagery and use this information to classify Landsat imagery into different land cover types. You will also be introduced to a number of tips you can use to refine your outputs.

Cost: There is a charge of $80 for non-CAP HDR students and $150 for non-CAP staff, visitors and emeriti.
Please note: For non-attendance/cancellation of your attendance, the following charges will apply.
- Notification of cancellation received within 0 – 5 working days of the course date will incur a charge equivalent to 100% of course fees
- Notification of cancellation received within 6 – 10 working days of the course date will incur a charge equivalent to 50% of course fees
Please note for non-attendance due to illness or caring responsibilities, reasonable evidence will be required to waive the non-attendance fee.
